The International Boxing Kickboxing Organisation (I.B.K.O.) is a membership group based organisation. We must stress that when applicants fill out a membership form they are NOT applying for or paying for insurance, they're applying for 12 months membership to their respective club and the International Boxing Kickboxing Organisation. (I.B.K.O.)
All members are automatically insured to train within I.B.K.O. clubs and compete at ALL I.B.K.O. events as long
as their membership/licence is up to date. This also includes training as a guest at other I.B.K.O. registered / approved clubs.
The I.B.K.O. Insurance has been arranged via 'Martial Guard' and been underwritten by Allianz and Towergate.
New starters must take out I.B.K.O. club membership after 3 sessions in order to continue training and be covered by our group policy.
Insurance Cover for Members
I.B.K.O. student/member insurance cover is up to £5,000,000 member/member and public liability only, This is free of charge and provides cover should they injure another or damage property while training which results in a claim being lodged against them personally. This is negligence / 'fault based' which means in that all incidents are covered so long as someone is at fault or to blame.
Accidents where there isn't a negligence claim are not included in this level of cover, if members
wish to require a higher level of cover it is recommended that they take out an additional personal accident cover of their own.
For further information on this please contact us directly.
Student Membership and Renewals
UK Clubs will initially register students for I.B.K.O. membership, renewals must then be done annually via the Club Instructor, while club instructors will check when a student's membership is still valid and up to date. It is to be renewed on time and remains the sole responsibility of the student / applicant, not the club or Instructor to ensure that this membership is up to date.
Cover for UK Instructors
Public and Products Liability is available from Allianz Plc, £5,000,000 and £10,000,000 for Instructors.
Follow the link to this website which Instructors can use to purchase cover direct from the insurance company and select I.B.K.O. (International Boxing Kickboxing Organisation) which then immediate cover can be taken out.
